Parents Dinner

On Sunday, SG & Karen met up with both parents to have dinner at Upper Thomson Road. Decided to try one of the 'famous' place called Hooked on Heads. Ordered mainly their signature dishes only.

Located at a nice corner, the place is pretty cosy. Quite popular with people in the neighbourhood.

It was a great time of talking among parents & also us!!

Verdict of food/place: B+

Fish Head Curry: Great. Though only ordered half a head, still lots of meat.

Mee Siam: Supposed to be signature dish. A bit too much coconut.

Claypot Chicken: Good

Nonya Vegetables: Well cooked, not too soft nor too raw.

Crab Shack

SG & Karen went to celebrate a good friend, Beiwei, birthday along with the very nice husband. Yes, it's on Sat, top-of-table clash between the hubby's team Man U & Arsenal. He was very interested in the match. But he chose to accompany the wife for a simple but fun dinner at Crab Shack along Upper Thomson Road.

We had a 8-piece flower crabs, Japanese chicken pizza, some fried squid & some fries. Good food & really lovely company. It helps that the evening is cool & nobody is smoking that day!

QQ-Rice

We tried this new stall at Plaza Singapura #B2-34 (PS) today. New food from Taiwan. Took the 2-in-1 rice ball. Very nice. Especially with 5 different fillings! A bit $$ though, about $4 for 1 rice ball. But definitely worth trying!

They also have another stall at Novena Square 2 (#01-06).

Dinner@Pender Road

SG had a wonderful dinner at Natasha's place last Sat, along Pender Road. It was an old two-level house. Very airy. Floor is made of tiles from yester-years, reminding SG of 20 years ago the deco at his grandma's place. It was really a walk down memory lanes.

Food! Amazing feast, including roasted garlic, honey carrots & tasty salad.

Edna & Fatboy

After a fantastic meal, we took a walk along Pender road. It was very surprising to see a very nice church building Danish Seamen's Church.
