Cord Blood Banking

Like most would-be parents, should SG & Karen go for cord blood banking?

Oh yes, for those not in the know, cord blood is the blood from mothers that is collected immediately after child birth. It is supposed to be good to cultivate stem cells, which can then potentially use to treat various blood related diseases.

The question is whether we should donate the cord blood (aka go for public bank) or go for private banking.

well... not so sure if these practices could be promoted or not. Obviously, there are always advantages on new developments but have we any farsight in what is yet to come? The cord blood founder is by the way also a champion in cloning!!
